Spain aim to top Group A at the U21 EURO
Cristhian Mosquera, César Tárrega, Javi Guerra and Diego López target victory against Italy
Valencia CF hold a near-perfect record against Granada, their opponents this weekend in LaLiga action on Matchday 2. The precedents are positive for José Bordlalás' side, who are aiming to pick up their second win of the campaign.
In the last decade, the two teams have met on 16 occasions, beginning when Granada returned to the flight in the 2011/12 season. Since then, another relegation and promotion kept the Andalusian side's path from crossing that of Valencia CF in 2017/18, but they have been frequent foes.
In those 16 games in the top tier of Spanish football, Valencia CF have been victorious on a total of 12 occasions, representiing a 75% win percentage. They have suffered just one defeat, with three draws.
The scoring statistics in those games are also in Valencia CF's favour: 27 goals scored, to just 12 conceded.
Whilst Valencia CF bested Getafe CF 1-0 at Mestalla on the opening day of the season, Granada were in action on Monday in a 0-0 draw with Villarreal on the road.
